Cross Sections for Superstructure

Cross sections are generated at the start and end of spans, and at the start and end of mild steel and tendons. Special consideration is made for variable cross section members. Once this list of cross sections is constructed, it is used to determine element section properties. Each cross section is made up of two exterior girders and any number of interior girders. Any of the cross section dimensions may vary from one location to another, and linear or parabolic interpolation is used to determine the section dimensions at any desired location. Slab cross sections are made of a single girder with variable depth.
